Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to visit Brookfield Zoo before our passes expired. I believe this is one of Brian and Kaitlyn's favorite places to visit.
The tree we sat under to have our picnic lunch.
Matching outfits again...yay!

Hannah laughing at Kaitlyn and Brian.

The lion statue we always take pictures on.

Misc May Pictures

Playing shopping together.
Hannah's first time sitting by herself in the chair just her size.
Cuddling on the couch. I hope this never changes and they always want to be together. With the years between them, it's a constant worry for me and I pray that they have a close relationship.

Hannah's new swing that she loves and cannot get enough of.
Don't you just love the hat and sunglasses?

Kaitlyn's Princess Tea Party

Saturday, April 18, 2009

For Kaitlyn's 6th birthday, she wanted to have a friend birthday party. I knew she wanted a Princess Theme and thought a Princess Tea Party where they used fancy china would be very “Princessy”.
They dined on a lovely spread of chicken nuggets, bagel bites, mini corn dogs, cheese cubes, and fruit skewers.

License to drive needed

We had this pink car in storage at my mother in laws once Kaitlyn was too big for it. We pulled it out after Easter dinner. Oh, boy it was a hit. Hannah was squealing and bouncing up and down with sheer delight. Though I didn't really have any doubts, as Kaitlyn was the same way. I'll never forget the time her aunt Tammy took Kaitlyn for a walk in it and she fell asleep. Her little head bobbing trying to stay sitting up and not slump over. I'm sure we took a picture of it but I can't seem to find it. Let me know if anyone comes across it. I would love to have it.

Easter

Fun filled baskets from the Easter bunny!

The girls Grandma Sue found them adorable matching dresses for Easter.
Hannah's smile is so precious I just want to eat her up. I never understood that saying "I could eat you up" until I had children. Then on top of that wanting to "Squeeze" them. Not literally but seriously what is that? I guess it is just that feeling of cuteness OVERLOAD!

Kaitlyn's Spring Dance Recital

Kaitlyn has taken dance many times but this was the first year we did the dance recital. It may be the last it was such the production. She had studio photos, dress rehearsal that she had to be in full costume with make up and hair plus they were both on different weekends. By the day of the actual recital, I was glad it was over and so was Kaitlyn.

It was wonderful recital and as a parent watching my child perform it was amazing. I was so proud of her and so filled with joy that it was burning inside me. I was desperately trying to hold back joyful tears as I knew once they started it would be hard to stop. Kaitlyn enjoyed the recital and the treat of both her grandma's in the audience.
Waiting for the recital to start.
Kaitlyn's favorite pose.
They didn't allow you to take any flash photography or video taping during the recital. Because they wanted you to buy their DVD for $40. Therefore, I video taped during the dress rehearsal.

Girls Combined Birthday Party

We had the girl's combined birthday party for family Saturday April 4.

I was so excited when I found matching outfits for them.
Who would've thought a drum that included a recorder, maracas, castanets and kazoo on clearance would have been the big hit for both girls.

Ta-dah

Hannah enjoyed her 2nd cupcake just as much as her first.
